We started production on our 11th feature film, "The Deceased Won't Desist" on Saturday, November 16, 2019. This was day one of what will undoubtedly be a very long shoot. One of the downsides to our very independent filmmaking is that since we have to work around all actors' schedules, we can't shoot consecutive days. So, if we're fortunate, we can get in at least one day a week, sometimes more, but not that often.

For example, our 2nd day will be this Friday, the 22nd, then we will also shoot the next day. After that, it’s open. I will regroup, configure, then decide which scene to tackle next and proceed.

Let the mayhem begin…

We managed to get through three scenes this day: two where one of our main characters, a filmmaker name Nat Boyle (Damon Evans) is pitching some great movie ideas to a couple of producers.

The third is where we meet two seedy televangelists: Father Hugh Dickinson and Pastor Rod Fitzhugh soliciting money from their gullible audience.

Filmmaker Nat Boyle (Damon Evans) has some great ideas for high concept movies and tries to sell them to a couple of producers.
Producer Louis B. Govner (Mike Gaglio) listens to a movie pitch by hyper filmmaker Nat Boyle (Damon Evans)
Nat Boyle (Damon Evans) trying to convince producer Jeff Specter (Brad Mendelson) that he has a great money-making film idea.
Two seedy televangelists (played by newcomers to the Pirromount fold, G. Larry Butler and Matthew DuBois) try to raise money for their…God.

So far so good. We got through the day without a hitch. It’s a little too early to congratulate ourselves, as we have a very long way to go. But if day one was any indication of how our production will chug along…I have no complaints.
