The Spy Who Did It Better is a James Bond spoof which is available on the “Pirromount: The Ultra Early Years” DVD. It is also one of the bonus features on the “Deathrow Gameshow” DVD/bluray combo set. It stars long time Pirromount associate John McCafferty as the superspy “Lee Neville” and Jeri Lee Ott as the lovely “Pink.” The film also stars the late Alfie Pearl as the deadly “Blohard,” and Zachary Harris as the evil “Eyes.” There is also a cameo appearance by Kirk Douglas’ youngest son, Eric. The movie goes from Los Angeles to Las Vegas on a budget of about $1500, and was featured on a segment of the 80’s CBS tv program, 2 on the Town starring Steve Edwards. The movie went on to win two “Best of the West” film awards in 1979.
