Our new film, Celluloid Soul, requires some special visual effects. The major one is to have our featured actress (Lauren Baldwin), who plays an actress from 1939, and who looks exactly the way she appeared in her films, to be alongside our hero (Dennis Kinard). The effect requires Lauren to be black and white, with vertical scratches and specks of dust throughout her image. We shot some tests today and I think we have achieved the effect we’re looking for. Below you will see images of Lauren by herself, standing next to director Mark Pirro, and sitting beside Visual Effects Artist Glenn Campbell.
