Australians In Film Screening Of Lionsgate Films' "Warrior"

It was announced a couple of days ago that our terrifying Raven from “Rage of Innocence,” actress Stef Dawson just landed the role of Annie Cresta, in the Hunger Games franchise and we couldn’t be happier for her.  She will appear in Hunger Games Mockingjay parts 1 and 2, which will hit theatres November 2014 and 2015 respectively.

It is so exciting to be at the turning point of someone’s career; that moment when you know that they have moved into a different plane.  When we first met Stef at an audition for “Rage of Innocence,” I saw something, a spark, a flame, call it what you will, but there was something in her that I have never seen in any other actor I’ve ever worked with (the closest being Color-Blinded’s Verda Bridges).  I immediately knew that she was our “Raven Sutton” and after her audition, I stopped looking at other actresses for the role.  We never even had a second callback for her.  I found out later that when she auditioned for the Hunger Games, she also wasn’t asked to do a 2nd callback.  Like when she auditioned for us, she nailed it on the first audition.  She is one amazing actress.

Throughout the shooting of Rage of Innocence, Stef has always exceeded my expectations with how she would interpret the words and the moods of her character, Raven Sutton.  She always knew her lines, and always brought an intensity to the character that I could have only dreamed to achieve.  I am grateful to have the experience of working with this talented actress and cannot wait to follow her career as it only goes higher and higher.

Oh, and by the way, check out the neat little article about “Rage of Innocence” on the Fangoria website.
