After thirty shooting days, spread out over eight months, I’m happy to say that we have officially wrapped principal photography on our film Rage of Innocence.  We still have a few second unit pieces to pick up before we put the cameras down for good on this project, but for the most part, the production phase of our movie is done.

All of our movies are fun to work on, but this one was a special joy since we got to bring some new people into the Pirromount Universe.  We got to meet the lovely and talented Stef Dawson, the equally lovely and talented Tammy Klein and the absolutely adorable Chelsea Cook.  Everybody got through the production unscathed, unless you count the Stingray attack Stef had encountered early into our production.

Production went quite smoothly, which has been the case for our last four feature films. I think we finally have a well rounded crew, who know exactly what to do and how to get through a production without trouble, egos, incompetence, and most importantly a budget. After our last day of principal photography, we all went out and had a last meal together, as most major productions do. Ours was at Chili’s Restaurant.

It’s hard to express how wonderfully exciting these past eight months have been.  Now I have several months of post production work.  As much as I enjoy the production of a motion picture, I enjoy the post production even more.  It is here where you really have control of the project.  Editing is where the movie really comes to life.  Now I’ve been editing the movie as we’ve been shooting it, so except for the final confrontation scene, which we just shot, the movie is pretty much edited and locked.  Now it’s a matter of looping, foley, effects, and music.

Every time I finish a movie, it’s almost as if I wake up from a deep sleep.  During the production of any of my films; I live, eat, breathe and sleep with the film on my mind.  Not a day goes by that I am not doing something related to the film.  Now that the principal photography segment of the movie is finished, I can now plunge full time into the editing process.

We may have one or two test screenings in a few months.  Keep checking our site for information regarding that.  If you’d like to participate in one of these test screenings, once we make the announcement, let us know and if you are local to the L.A. area, it’s possible that you can be in the audience.

Well, here’s to a productive year, as we continue through post production.
